Privacy & cookie policy
Last updated: 19 October 2026. [Placeholder: please review before publishing.]
This policy explains what information is used when you visit Well Read (https://wellreadtarot.com), run by Tamerton Group. We've kept it short and in plain English.
What we store on your device
We don't ask you to sign up and we don't collect your name or email address through the site. To make the site work, we save a few small items in your browser's local storage (similar to a cookie, but it stays on your device and isn't sent to us):
tarot.visitorId: a random code used to draw your daily reading, so you get the same cards all day.tarot.lastReadingDate: the date of your last reading, so we can tell you when you're seeing the same reading again.tarot.theme: whether you chose light or dark mode.
These are strictly necessary for the features you use. You can delete them at any time by clearing your browser's site data. You'll then get a new random code and a different reading.
Advertising (Google AdSense)
We use (or plan to use) Google AdSense to show adverts, which keeps the site free. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to show ads, measure how they perform and, where you allow it, personalise them based on your visits to this and other websites.
- Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
- You can turn off personalised advertising in Google's Ad Settings.
- Visitors in the UK, EEA and Switzerland will be asked for consent before any non-essential advertising cookies are set, using a Google-certified consent message. You can change your choice at any time. [Placeholder: set up the consent message in AdSense under Privacy & messaging before going live.]
Hosting and server logs
Like any website, our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) for security and to keep the site running. [Placeholder: name your hosting provider.]
Your rights
Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR) you have rights over your personal information, including the right to access it and to ask for it to be deleted. As we don't hold accounts, most information is under your control in your browser. To ask a question or make a request, contact us. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Children
This site is not aimed at children under 13.
